Evan Carlos, MD is a diligent and compassionate urologist who practices the full breadth of adult urology at Urology Surgery Center Northwest in Spokane, Washington. With the whole person in mind, Dr. Carlos empowers patients to reach their health goals.
Dr. Carlos completed his undergraduate education at the University of Washington where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. From there, he earned his medical degree at Loyola University Chicago – Stritch School of Medicine.
After Chicago, Dr. Carlos then headed south to Durham, North Carolina where he completed his residency at Duke University Medical Center. Under the guidance of world experts, Dr. Carlos developed expertise in a multitude of minimally invasive techniques to treat urologic cancers, kidney stones, enlarged prostates, erectile dysfunction, male incontinence, and vasectomy.
He is well-versed in robot-assisted surgery and is enthusiastic to further the Inland Northwest’s access to the newest techniques to treat prostate cancer such as High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) and cryotherapy.
Dr. Carlos and has also completed a research fellowship focused on laser surgery to treat kidney stones and enlarged prostates. He has extensive clinical experience in these techniques as well. He is also well-published in surgical techniques to treat erectile dysfunction. Additionally, he has authored nearly 20 journal articles and given dozens of presentations at regional, national and international meetings.
Away from the office, Dr. Carlos loves to spend time outside on the water, hiking, hunting and fishing. All of which are most enjoyable with his wife and children.
